Generative Design of the Triticum Clot Retriever

PROJECT
This project applied generative design methods to biomedical engineering through the development of the Triticum clot retriever, a medical device intended for endovascular intervention. Unlike architectural applications, the project demonstrates how computational design expertise can be transferred to a highly constrained product domain.

APPROACH
Computational methods were used to support the exploration and development of the device geometry, allowing design alternatives to be generated and evaluated within the requirements of the biomedical application.

CONTRIBUTION
The project demonstrates the broader applicability of computational and generative design beyond architecture, translating methods of geometric generation and controlled variation to the development of a specialized medical product.
